Ciro Eduardo Gonzalez Peña

Born in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, Ciro is a passionate and experienced corporate banker and former management consultant. He began his career at Accenture as a management consultant where he advised companies such as Heinz, Anheuser-Busch InBev, Mondelez and many others. Shortly after his consultant role, Ciro joined the Corporate Banking division at Monex where he pitched opportunities to the lending committee and managed his own lending portfolio.

Outside of school and work, he is an avid endurance athlete and has successfully finished 4 Ironman triathlons, 20 marathons and has summited Iztaccíhuatl, a 17,160 foot mountain peak. He hopes to participate in the Boston marathon and the Ironman World Championship at some point in his life.

Jacob van Raaphorst

Prior to pursuing his MBA, Jake worked at BlackRock for five years in various capacities including strategy, relationship management, operations, and client service. Most recently, he was primarily responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with both Official and Non-Official Institutions across Latin America and Iberia in both Spanish and English.

Outside of the office, he is passionate about mentorship and providing opportunities for others. With two other alums from his alma-mater, he co-founded a scholarship and career development program called Vocational Capital to help top students at non-target liberal arts institutions pursue careers in technology, entrepreneurship, finance, and consulting.

Jake earned BA degrees in Economics and Spanish from Wheaton College (IL) in 2013. While at Wheaton, Jake was a member of the football team, and served on Student Government.

Shama Rangnekar

Shama is passionate about working hand-in-hand with start-ups to scale their operations and realise their true potential. Prior to Foster, Shama was an auditor and tax consultant responsible for tax planning of various clients across industries and varying in size. She then moved on to handle credit and risk management for one of the world’s largest banks, working with teams across APAC and driving risk reductions for their portfolios. These roles have developed her passion in helping firms optimize their operations and finances and she hopes to use these skills to drive growth in early stage start-ups. Shama grew up in Mumbai, India, and loves singing. She is also an avid traveller, having been to more than 20 countries.
